Fun with bands: rubber band play (brown skin edition) by Bambi Twist

In this class, we will discuss how to safely engage in play involving rubber bands on Black and Brown bodies. While yes, rubber bands can be a fun, intense, and creative form of sensation or impact play, it’s important to acknowledge that different skin tones and textures can require different considerations to ensure safety and minimize harm for all involved. This class is for everyone—whether you identify as a person of color or play with people of color. My goal is to raise awareness, share knowledge, and promote practices that are thoughtful, informed, respectful and still sexy. All bodies deserve care, and understanding the nuances of how marks, bruises, and other effects of play show up differently on darker skin is an essential part of safe and consensual kink.
